Three local members of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) filed a lawsuit, with the help of the UCLA Voting Rights Project, challenging how the commissioner districts are drawn and calling for district-only elections in April. The lawsuit was filed about six months after the county was given a chance to change it.
