
Chhandara Pech
Chhandara Pech (Chhan) is the Deputy Director of the UCLA Center for Neighborhood Knowledge, specializing in spatial and statistical analysis to address critical socioeconomic and racial equity issues. His research informs decision-makers, community stakeholders, and public agencies, with a focus on immigrant and historically marginalized communities.
As a Cambodian American, Chhandara brings a unique lens to his work, examining racial and economic disparities through data-driven insights. He has led large-scale research projects on housing, transportation, climate change, and neighborhood development, utilizing advanced data analysis to shape policy and drive community action.
Chhandara holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a BA in Political Science from UCLA, along with certifications in Geographic Information Systems and Data Science.
