Priscilla M. Vásquez, Ph.D., M.P.H. is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban Public Health at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU). Her current role includes conducting research and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her current and prior research focus on examining factors linked to blood pressure control among diverse adults, implementing community-based physical activity programs, and conducting cardiovascular health epidemiologic research among underrepresented diverse adults, namely Latina/o/x/e adults. Dr. Vásquez has worked to generate evidence on the association between physical activity with cardiovascular health and brain health among middle-aged and older adults. She aims to generate the epidemiologic evidence to inform community-based efforts to address health disparities and achieve health equity in urban environments.

Dr. Vásquez obtained a BA in Literature from the University of California San Diego (UCSD), an MPH in Community Health Sciences and PhD in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
