Policy Fellow

JESSIKA VIVEROS (she/her) is a second-year Master of Public Policy candidate at UCLA, deeply committed to leveraging policy to drive social change. As an incoming Policy Fellow at the UCLA Latino Politics & Policy Institute (LPPI), she will contribute to the Communications Department, focusing on amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities through strategic messaging and impactful storytelling.

With a robust background in community organizing and advocacy, Jessika currently works as a Graduate Student Researcher at the UCLA Labor Center, where she collaborates with the POWER in Workforce Development team to advance equitable labor practices. Her professional journey includes roles with organizations like KIWA and the UFW Foundation, where she honed her skills in grassroots organizing, worker empowerment, and public outreach. Additionally, her participation in UCLA Labor Summer, UCLA Community Scholars, and her time as a UCLA McNair Scholar has further cemented her commitment to uplifting marginalized communities through thoughtful policy interventions and research.

Jessika was proudly born and raised in Oxnard, California, and is a first-generation Latina to attend college. Her educational journey, including two bachelor’s degrees from UCLA in Political Science and Labor Studies, is a personal achievement and a testament to her unwavering dedication to making a meaningful impact. Passionate about advocacy, she draws from her own experiences to inspire and create opportunities for others in her community.
