
Gia Gigli Rogers
GIA ROGERS (she/her/hers) is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Environmental Science with minors in Environmental Systems and Society and Public Affairs. She is an incoming UCLA LPPI Fellow and is deeply committed to advancing environmental and educational equity through policy reform, advocacy, and community-based development.
At UCLA, Gia serves as a First-Year Programs Coordinator for the Black Bruin Resource Center and as the Resident Assistant for the Afrikan Diaspora Living Learning Community in Rieber Hall. In these roles, she has helped expand access to resources and create meaningful programming to uplift the Black student community on campus. Previously, Gia was a College Corps Fellow, completing over 450 hours of community service, and interned with the U.S. Green Building Council, where she supported the sustainability certification of more than 30 businesses and institutions—including the LA Convention Center, Ronald Reagan Hospital, and UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability.
Originally from Palmdale, California, Gia is passionate about empowering communities of color through an equity-centered approach to policy, with a focus on health, education, and the environment.
