Dr. Elizabeth Meza is a distinguished researcher and faculty instructor at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington and a fellow at the Center on Education & Labor at New America. As an educational researcher & evaluation consultant Elizabeth believes in the power of knowledge to create focused, organized, and persistent initiatives that create equitable solutions to today’s education and workforce challenges. Through a range of methodological approaches, her research agenda seeks to identify and address inequities that hinder American higher education from delivering on its promise of equity for all students, and centers community colleges as engines for opportunity and workforce development. Prior to joining the University of Washington, Elizabeth was an administrator and faculty member at community colleges in Washington. She obtained a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Washington in Seattle.
