Policy Fellow

BIANCA DIEZMO (she/her) is a fourth-year Cognitive Science student minoring in Public Affairs and a Policy Fellow in the Administration Department. She is interested in the interpretation and implementation of law and public policy, particularly the institutional practices that shape disparities in access, representation, and opportunity.

At LPPI, Bianca supports special projects and strategic operations across the institute, including cross-departmental initiatives, executive leadership support, and external stakeholder engagement. She has also participated in legislative advocacy at the California State Capitol, where she met with Assemblymembers to advocate for priorities affecting Latino students and the broader UC community. This fall, she will intern with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Bianca’s professional experience extends beyond UCLA to commercial, television, and film work, including national campaigns for major brands and projects with Netflix, Apple TV+, and CBS. Born in Huntington Park and raised in South Gate, California, Bianca is a proud first-generation Latina and first-generation college student. She plans to attend law school and pursue a career at the intersection of law, public policy, and governance.
