Ahmad Ismail
Ahmad Ismail is a Research Fellow at the Latino Policy and Politics Institute. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at UCLA, majoring in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology, with a minor in Public Health. As an EMT, Ahmad interacted with members of marginalized communities and witnessed the challenges that patients faced as they navigated the healthcare system. These experiences sparked his interest in public health research and made him curious about the varying levels of access within healthcare. Ahmad is from San Jose, CA, and outside of academics, he has two cats, enjoys exploring nature, and going on road trips.
