About the Event

Los Angeles is at a crossroads. As communities begin to recover from the devastating wildfires, systemic barriers and policy decisions at all levels of government will shape their ability to equitably rebuild.

Join us for Defining LA’s Future: The Collision of Federal Politics and Local Realities, a timely discussion on the intersection of local recovery efforts and federal policy. Moderated by Emmy Award-winning reporter and former Univision news anchor Jorge Ramos, this conversation will address:

  • The disparate impacts of the wildfires on underserved communities.
  • Systemic barriers to accessing disaster relief and recovery resources.
  • How federal priorities related to immigration, disaster relief, and the federal workforce could complicate recovery efforts.
  • The roles of government, community organizations, and the private sector in ensuring a just and equitable recovery.
