Robert Chao Romero (Ph.D., Latin American history, UCLA; J.D., UC Berkeley) is an associate professor in the Chavez Department of Chicana/Chicano Studies and Central American Studies and the Department of Asian American Studies. He is the author of several award-winning books including, Brown Church: Five Centuries of Latina/o Social Justice, Theology, and Identity, Christianity and Critical Race Theory, and The Chinese in Mexico: 1882-1940.
