Albert Kochaphum
Albert is a dedicated researcher and maptivist at the Latino Policy and Politics Institute (LPPI), leveraging his rich experience across India, China, and California to advance technical tools for social change. His technical acumen is evident from his previous role as a Digital Communications Administrator at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Agency (Metro), where he led the development of web applications and CI/CD data pipelines essential for transit operations and data transparency. Additionally, Albert is a lecturer at UCLA’s Asian American Studies Department, teaching “Web Development and GIS for Social Change,” empowering students to apply technology in advocacy and activism. His commitment to social innovation is rooted in his extensive background in GIS and digital communications, enhancing community engagement and educational efforts.
