Webinar: The Latino Wealth Gap: Causes, Consequences, and Policy Paths Forward

Latinos are a driving force in the U.S. economy. They account for nearly one-fifth of the population, drive workforce growth, anchor essential industries, and contribute more than $4.1 trillion annually to the U.S. GDP, an economy larger than that of most countries in the world.

Webinar: The Latino Wealth Gap: Causes, Consequences, and Policy Paths Forward

Join the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute and UnidosUS on April 14, 2026, for a timely conversation on the forces shaping the Latino wealth gap in the U.S.

Latinos are a driving force in the U.S. economy: fueling workforce growth, entrepreneurship, and community stability. Yet wealth disparities remain persistent and deeply entrenched. What explains this disconnect?

This webinar, held in conjunction with a new joint report from the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute and UnidosUS, will explore the broader policy patterns that have shaped economic opportunity for Latino communities across generations. The program will examine how structural decisions have influenced access to jobs, housing, education, and financial security and what it would take to change that trajectory.
